Yesterday , we put out a request and called on those who have a waiting cards taken before December 2015 to forward the details to the Cabinet Secretary Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaisserry or Myself on our public numbers. However, before we embark on this process, below we the statistics of the yet to be collected identity cards per region.

The gains were made over the last one year, and the Cabinet Secretary Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaisserry attributes this to intensive efforts by the coastal security team which carried out several raids on suspected drug traffickers.

Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaisserry says the war on the menace and other security challenges will continue being enhanced in all affected areas despite the gains made so far.

The Cabinet Secretary Major General (Rtd) for Interior together with the Principle Secretary Dr. Eng. Karanja Kibicho today officiated a security workshop for administrators and police chiefs on enhancement of security in the country. The Workshop is being held at the Kenya School of Government , Nairobi.

Those present include, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet , DCI Director Ndegwa Muhoro Mr. Samuel M. Arachi, MBS ,Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service, Mr Joel Kitili, MBS.Deputy Inspector General, Kenya Police Service among other officials.

The country has however had its share of internal security challenges, and the government is not willing to gamble with the safety of its citizens.

This can be attributed to the move by Interior Cabinet Secretary Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaisserry to map out three major issues he wants security agencies to focus on, in 2016.

“The first interest is the safety of the citizens and their property,” he said.
